2 x Golden Guitar Winner, Andrew Swift has gone from strength to strength since finding his feet in the Australian country music scene as a Toyota Starmaker grand-finalist in 2017. With his debut country album, ’Call Out For The Cavalry’ debuting at #1 on the ARIA Australian Country Charts, the Matt Fell produced record saw 5 singles lifted for release including ‘Runaway Train’, Fire & Ice (feat. Catherine Britt) & King of the Sky. At the 2019 Golden Guitar Awards, the country music industry recognised Swifts relentless hard work and saw him take home the awards for Qantas New Talent of the Year & for Alternative Country Album of the Year.
Living out of his caravan, Swift threw in his day job to tour full time in support of his latest release and hasn’t stopped since. Between his tours with the Wolfe Brothers, Felicity Urquhart, Shannon Noll, numerous festival appearances & Swift’s own shows including his ‘Caravan Park Country Music Showcase’ tour, he’s often referred to as one the hardest working country artists in Australia. In fact, his constant visits to Gundagai saw him named as the official ambassador of the iconic Dog on The Tuckerbox in 2019.
Returning to work with Matt Fell at Love HZ studios, Swift recently started recording his new album after signing with ABC Music. The first single, ’Never Meant To Break Your Heart’ depicts the often untold perspective of a breakup. In which, despite knowing the hurt of a broken heart and not wanting someone else to go through that pain, ending the relationship is still the right thing to do.
‘Never Meant To Break Your Heart’ is now out across all streaming platforms.
